"Call Of The Wild"

Call of the Wild

This week was pretty good. Well I’m going to a concert, Trivium, not a band I’m very familiar with but it sounds fun. I get to see my buddy from Rochester and my buddy who works so much I never get to see! I like Town Ballroom. I think it’s a good place for concerts. I saw Paramore there, well sorta. I was in the bar while they were playing a sold out show.

Today was also breast cancer awareness day. We were supposed to wear pink to work as well as asked to give money to the cause. So of course I wore my black punisher shirt but the difference was I had my little pink button that reads, “I love Heidi Maria”! For those of you who don’t know who that artist is you’re missing out. In the Buffalo area she is an artist who can be heard in a variety of places from bars to coffee shops. She plays a variety of music and is sensational! So she helped me out today, as always.

I also got an offer to work with my buddy from AIP. He’s is probably one of the greatest artist out there today! He can be found at rougeartist.com or just look up rogue artist on google. I’m so excited to help him out!

I also have to make my costume soon; right around the corner is the greatest holiday ever! I’m thinking of doing a comic book character this year. Two years ago I was Leather face. I got these next two weekends of Halloween parties! I can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes! My friends always have creative costumes. One year my buddy dressed up as ME! It was hysterical. He won the most accurate costume award!

Ok I guess that’s all you get this week. I’m closing the door into Dave. Have a great week!

Call Of The Wild

Call of the Wild

All right, back to somewhat normality. So. Simon Pegg has a new movie out as well as Rosario Dawson. This as much as it seems would be a hard choice wasn’t. I guess I should explain. I am in movie crush with Rosario Dawson. I think she is the hottest star out there right now. She is a phenomenal actress, an amazing singer, writes comics, and is a wonderful person off the screen. Then there is Simon Pegg. I think he is the funniest person out there. I never had any reason to like British anything. Then I saw ‘Shaun of the Dead’. (I don’t think Dr. Blood wants me to review it because it is more comedy then horror.)

This made the dilemma ‘How to Lose Friends and Alienate People’ or ‘Eagle Eye’. I’m sure most people reading our stuff are like I wouldn’t see either! That is your prerogative. So I saw ‘HtLF&AP’. I had a real good time both times I saw it.

Ok. You probably didn’t care about that at all but this is my outlet so I’m sorry. If you want other info: I lost my bank card, paid my bills, am having a wall to wall fake fight with my buddy on face book, and was told if my company loses much more revenue we might have to put people on voluntary layoff. So it may seem like a lot but you’re never given more then you can handle. Yeah, yeah, you might think its preachy but think about it, or don’t. This is a free site, not demanding anything of you hoping you enjoy or views, give us some views, or just laugh at me. Ok. I think that’s over.

Saw V is almost here and Dr. Blood and I can’t wait! I’m excited to see what perspective they take or what kinda character will take over. I’m also wanting to see how much Tobin Bell will be in or Shawnee Smith? All right fellow horror fans. I’m off!

Ranting of a Madman!

Ranting of a Madman!

Ok, so yea. Last week was bad and I apologize about for that. I was in a car accident and my car was totaled. I’m perfectly fine, of course, but a lot of paperwork had to be filled out and the site suffered. I just want to say I’m sorry and won’t speak of this again, hopefully.

Ok. So I guess there was a horror convention last week Friday at the town ballroom. OF COURSE we couldn’t go do to previous paragraph. Not talking about it. Buffalo had a pretty big draw though, Gunner Hansen, the dude who played Michael Meyers, and a scream queen I love Debbie Rechon! They also had my favorite scary movie company there selling their movies! Low Budget Pictures! I’m sure I will be reviewing some of their movies soon. They also had a concert with another one of my favorite bands, Arm Canon! Last year it was it was As Summer Dies! Well there was a bunch of other bands last year too but I mostly cared about ASD. I wasn’t sure if there were more bands this year though.

I was also fortunate enough to see a movie fresh off the cutting room floor!!! Literally! I’m not allowed to say what, but it’s a horror movie. I can discuss it when it comes out to DVD thou. It was a real treat to sit there with the director and editor. Just to watch their reaction, saying this happened here or this was awful. Like my own commentary! They were watching for my reactions too of course.

So, overall, this was a very random obscure week. I can’t wait to share with you next week’s adventures, or random rambling!

"Call Of The Wild"

Ranting of a Madman!

Ok. This is my first column. I’m not used to this yet so you have to give me a few weeks. I just want to describe the way I view movies, or even review movies. In general I will watch just about anything, I mean anything. The only real exceptions are war movies and natural disaster movies. This doesn’t mean I wont, I guess, I just prefer not to a bunch because they just get me down. I do love all movies but horror is a huge area I enjoy because of the crazy concepts or ideas they aren’t afraid to put out there. Horror fans are the greatest. They are hungry fans ready to devour everything out there from their favorite actors, writers, directors, or just the same genre (zombies, vampires, werewolves, etc)

The main reason I love movies is because I always love to be entertained. If I can get out of the real world then hey your story telling ability is a success. I love characters I can get behind, or follow their motives, or believe that’s what they really believe. I just love people in general, I don’t care if it’s in the real world, plays, movies, comics, or stories, people just fascinate me. The reason this is bad, well for reviewing, is because I like a lot of things, a lot, so you might not agree with me.

I will review the movies I choose or you can suggest things, whatever because we’re pretty chill here. You can give feedback, in fact you should, we would love it!

So this week I’m done, hope it wasn’t too awful. I will do what I can from here out. So enjoy the movies, enjoy the site, and watch all the blood and gore you can.
